Q: which is better, the 2007 honda crv or the 2007 mazda 5.?
A: The mazda5 and here's why:
6 seats
better REAL WORLD fuel economy
better insurance (it's not classified as an SUV, but instead as a wagon)
tons of standard safety goodies
Sliding doors don't get door dings.
HUGE amount of space inside.
aaaaaand.....It's a Mazda!
Q: I have a 2007 Mazda MX-5 grand tour- cloth top that has a small needle leak in the sidewall rear L tire- help?
The car has a instant mobility kit, with some Mazda brand goo! But it said to keep under 50mph-, and go directly to my dealership and have replaced. Would a plug or fix-a-flat not do??? Any other advice??? Thanks... SFVamp
A: Plugging a hole in the sidewall is a big no-no and no reputable tire shop will do it for you.
The previous post is correct in saying you're on the hook for a new tire.
Q: why do I have little scratches all over my car?
I just got a new 2007 mazda 3 touring 5 door in galaxy gray and I noticed today after washing that there all small scratches everywhere! Am i doing something wrong? I am not using anything harsh on my car to wash it? I have to look really close to notice them but there everywhere i look? is this normal..the paint is metallic..thanks in advance...mike
A: Dirt scratches paint. All you have to do is rub it when it is dirty and dry to scratch the paint. WAX it with a good carnuba wax I.E. Meguires, and they should blend back in. Use alot of elbow grease.
Q: In March 2007, I was sold a car finance deal, I think it may illegal, can you help?
In March 2007, I bought a Mazda 5 from a Mazda dealership in Dundee. All the paperwork for the deal, including the finance agreement, was brought to my home address by the saleswoman to 'save us another trip to the garage' and because she might not have been there to do the handover. I have since learned from the Finance Manager of another car dealership, that all paperwork for such deals must be signed on the dealers premises and not at a private address, if not, it can apparently render the deal null and void, and may also result in me getting my money back. Is this true and under which law or statute do the regulations or guidelines fall?
A: worth checking up on,if you did get the money back you could buy a mazda of that age outright
Q: Should I have used armor all on my car?
I have a new 2007 mazda 3 5 door galaxy gray and I noticed some marks on my interior so I used some armor all wipes that were laying around in my garage, and I didnt know they made the interior all shiny...I did it in my dark garage and didnt realized it did this....will it be/look ok? will it hurt my interior? if so how can I remove it? thanks in advance..Mike
sweet thanks douglas_z
I used the armor all wipes on some of the plastic interior too.. is that cool?>
A: hi Mike, i wouldnt worry about it, coz the layer of armourall will wear off after sometime (about 1-2 weeks), plus some people actually think the glossy look is appealing or ideal. perhaps u can use a damp cloth to go over the leather, removing some excess armourall gloss. these leather conditioners are supposed to protect the leather, if u prefer a matte look, go for other brands' conditioners that are less glossy such as the one used by 'her majesty the queen'...it's a white squarish tall bottle with that logo. i've just forgotten the brand.
Q: Serious answers about shifting solenoids?
Ok so my new car makes these grounding sounds when it is stationary. It is only when i change from Drive to Reverse or when i apply the brakes when i do lets say parallel parking. When i am driving everything is normal. A friend of mine had the same thing going on (new car too) and i have also asked a mechanic (not of the dealer) and they both told me that the sound is made by the shifting solenoids in the car and that the sound is perfectly normal.
Is it? Does anyone now anything about it?
The car is a 2007 Mazda 3 5 door
A: Take to dealer. It might be an engine mount problem, loose exhaust shielding or an incorrect idle speed. Since this is such a new model, the factory might not have a fix for it yet. Keep bugging them if they can't fix it.
Q: Will VW Tires fit on a Mazda 3?
2007 Mazda 3 sedan will VW tires (195/65R15) with 5 bolt pattern fit?
A: if both cars have the same bolt patterns(5x100 or 5x 114.3) and wheel center bores, then YES they will fit. You can still fit those wheels on the car even though the center bores are not the same but all the weight of the car will be sitting on the lugs(lug-centric) not hub-centric. Hub-centric is what you want.
Q: Are mazdas reliable??
I am planning on buying a 2007 mazda 3, automatic 5-speed, how reliable are they? Will it last 50-60k miles without shitting out on me? I just need a car that will last 4-5 years..
Im all about preventitive maintence, and sort of a car enthausit, I keep my cars in good shape. .
I know their are more reliable cars out there like hondas and toyotas, but I really like the m3.
What do you guys think??
A: I just bought a 2006 Mazda MPV. It is my 4th Mazda in a row. They are very reliable vehicles. I really recomend the Mazda 3, I twiced owned Proteges, the last one was a 2003 Protege5 which became the Mazda3 Sport in 04. What a great car, I traded it in for the MPV only because we had another baby. But I loved to drive that car.
Q: Should I get a 2007 civic si, Civic ex, Jetta SE or Wolfsburg, or Mazda 3?
My wife and I just found out that she is pregnant, and will be due in November. I currently have a 2 door coupe Honda Prelude. This is not exactly a car for a family....soooo....I am looking at getting a nice conditioned used car, certified if possible. I like all of the cars listed above, but which one would you get and why? This car is going to be my car for the next 5 years, God willing. So please let me know which one and why (good reasons). Thank you for your help, obviously I will take your suggestion into great consideration but I will still be doing test drives and everything as well. Thank you.
A: Any of these are good choices.
Keep in mind that the Civic Si only comes with Manual transmission. You and your wife may be able to handle this, but if the child is asleep in his/her carseat, downshifting and upshifting could change that in a hurry :-)
The Civic EX and the Mazda 3 are going to be very reliable and last you well over 5 years with regular maintenance.
The latest generation Civic has a little better performance and the stereo is better than the Mazda, but we purchased a Mazda 3 last year because it was $1500 cheaper with the same options (stereo is not as good).
Personally, although the Jetta has the most room of any car on your list, I would stay away from the used Jetta, purely from the reliability standpoint. If you are considering a 2008, it is a little better because you are getting the full warranty.
Make sure your wife gets a vote, too. I made the mistake of purchasing a vehicle without mine's input one time and she always complained about it :-)
Q: Should I get the scratches on my car buffed or re-painted?
I've been driving my 2007 Mazda 3 for 3 days and someone hit me from behind at a stop sign! That is just bullsh!t
LOL sorry
Anyways, I was hit from behind and there are 2-3 scratches on my bumper with some other weird blue marks. The scratches are just like a 2 inch long line while the other blue marks can be rubbed off I guess? Should I get it buffed or re-painted? What is the difference anyways and how much would it cost. The person who hit me says she'll pay for the damage. I'm just wondering because I'm only 17 and had my car for less than 5 days. CRAZY stuff man =(
A: Did y'all not trade insurance info? cause that could have gotten you a new bumper... the other person probably said she will pay for it cuz she didn't have insurance, but even if she doesn't pay for it, there's nothing you can do unless there's a written agreement.
well, anyway the blue mark can probably come off with wax and that will somewhat take care of the scratches to if it's not too deep. If that takes care of it, then i guess it's cool if there is no dents.
Q: What car would you get out of.........?

Q: i need to turn in my 2007 mazda6. i don't want to pay any fees. can anyone help me?
the 2007 mazda6 still has another 5 years of payments at $488.20 a month. my ex-wife used a power of attorney while i was in Iraq to take the car out in my name. i would like to take it to mazda and have them forgive the loan on it. the financial institution is mazda american credit union. i do not need this car. i own a car already.
A: you have to take her to small claims court or sell it for a loss and sue her for the difference and hope you win and she pays or just sell it and take the loss or find a friend to take it over.

S 93 mazda mx6 sputters when maintaining a constant speed &while giveing gas but idels fine???
have replaced mass airflow,distrebtur,dis.cap,rot... pluges, wires fuelfilter, breather&premium fuel. sometimes if you ease into it .it runs fine or when first start seames fine for about 5 min.then starts to sputters when it gets warm .cant finger it out please help.$$$$$$$(starting to cost) $$$$$$$
there has been a couple times it dident even start seem like flooded or no gas
A: is that the 2.0 or 2.5 v6. it doesn't matter because its the same problem on both engines look for the egr vac hose to see if its cracked
it the mas (mas air flow sensor) on the end of the hose right before the filter. you have to take the screws out. i used pliers sense they are torx heads with a pin in the middle so you can drill out that pin the centre or use pliers. its up to you. i tried cleaning mine with it on and it was to dirty when i took it off it had a layer of carbon about 2mm around the diode inside i touched it gently and it fell off. i put the mas back on and the stumble is gone on sputter and on dieing at stop light when you give it to much gas to fast. you put on a used mass didn't you. if its new try cleaning your old one and put it back on unless the wires on the tip are broke.
the last thing to check is the iat intake air temp sensor on the filter itself it has two wires on it You can just pull the connector off and drive your car. You will set a CEL but you can reset that after you're done testing. If you don't want to set a CEL, then go to Radio Shack and buy a 5-pack of 100k ohm resistors for 99 cents. Put one in your IAT connector cable and sell the other 4 on ebay for $8 each by telling everyone it will give them 20 more HP.....
dont forget the most comon one the ground wires.
did you re set the codes after you put on the new mass. by removing the battery cable for about one min. if you tried all of this look to the tranny speed sensor the one at the back where the odometer is and the one on the side of the trans drivers side. test them all.
Q: 2002 Mazda Protoge5 Rust Issues?
In 2005 rust was observed under the wheel beds and fixed (apparently) under warranty - in 2006 after an Ontario winter I noticed the rust was back and with some fuss Mazda agreed to re-paint it even when it was not longer under warranty - now 2007 I have the same issue - I took it to another Mazda dealership (b/c I moved ) and they told me that they can not do anything until the rust penetrates - which they agreed will likely happen in the near future - my 5 year warranty is up this summer - this is so frustrating since it seems to me they never really fixed the problem in the first place - I was just wondering what leverage I may have considering this is an ongoing issue...has anyone else had this problem?? Any suggestions???
A: once rust starts, there is no stopping it. you can slow it down, and even hide it for a while.
Q: Which Light Bulbs should I buy for my car ?
On Ebay they have " Xenon HID Light Bulbs " 2 of them for $9.95
I wanna have those bright white cooler lights in my car, like BMW's & Mercedes have.
Do u think this lightbulbs will burn out fast ?

A: Buy a BMW or a Mercedes then. Anything else will be imitation. Aftermarket HID lights are no where near the quality of factory systems.
