Q: Mazda 6 , 2007, will not start.....?
I have 2007 Mazda 6. This evening we were at the mall and when he came out it would not start. The security immobilizer light is blinking even when I am inside the car and the key is in the ignition. The car will not turn over but all of the gage needles flip all over the place and all of the dash lights come on. After I try to start the car and nothing happens….just some clicking…. After trying to start the car the CD player sounds like it is loading a CD…The headlight are very dim too…. Someone tried to jump start it…nothing… I don’t think it’s a battery issue… this security light usually goes off after the car is unlocked and you sit in…but now it is on… so it seems like its something with the security immobilizer….any ideas???
A: The first thing I would try is to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes or so. Your computer may hare had a brain-fart so this would reset it.
If that doesn't work you may need to reset the security code for your key. Check your owners manual to see if the procedure is there. If not you should be able to find it online or get it from your Mazda dealer.
Q: My 2007 Mazda 6 has a battery problem. When it sits for longer than 3 or 4 days, the battery is dead.?
It just clicks. Granted it's cold now, but I've never had this problem with any of my other cars/batteries, and the dealer (it's still under warranty) says the battery checks fine and that it's normal for the battery to die unless you start it every 2 or 3 days. I live in a dorm and park about 1/2 mile away from there. Any ideas?
A: I drive a 2005 Mazda6 with the original battery. It can sit for a month or longer with no trouble.I suspect yours has something slowly draining the battery such as the trunk or glove box light.
Q: What 4 piston brake calipers will fit on a 2007 Mazda 6 ?
A: Not giving you a smart answer but check with your local motor factor shop.
Q: 2007 Mazda 6 Sedan??
I've done a lot of research on this car. but i want another person's opinion. Is it a good car?
A: I had a 2003 Mazda 6s and it was a great car fun to drive especially if you are looking at manual...
However I live in Michigan, and would say it was the worst car in snow... didn't handle well. However on the other side... I owned the car long enough to know that it was very very safe. I hit black ice and did a 360 on the highway and went off into a ditch... I walked away from the car with one scratch, and a little bit of seatbelt bruises... side airbags and all, probably saved my life!
But anything else you have in specific feel free to ask... other wise I'd recommend the car to a friend any day!
Q: which gas should I use for Mazda 6 2007.Thanks?
A: Wow there is some misinformation floating around in here.
With higher octane fuel, you actually get LESS energy content than regular unleaded due to more additives to increase the octane rating. The purpose of higher octane fuel is prevent knock/ping (fuel igniting at the wrong time, potentially causing engine damage) in higher performance engines, making combustion more stable. The term "premium" given by oil companies is a marketing scheme to make you believe that you are getting higher quality gas, but this is not true. You are getting the same quality gas with more additives.
Therefore, you should put in whatever is recommended for your Mazda6, which I am assuming is regular unleaded 87. This way you are literally getting more bang for your buck.
Q: which is a better car to buy a 2008 malibu or 2007,08 mazda 6?
A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for different cars before buying one, for example here - autoinsurance.bebto.com
Q: Do you own 2007 Mazda Mazdaspeed 6 sports sedan? what is your honest opnion about this car?
can you give me a brief overall review about the car? performance, ride, features, what you like, dislike if any etc..
A: I have driven a Mazdaspeed 6 and own a wrx. I think the MS6 is underated and few people know what it is. Performance is very good, pretty similar to that of a stock wrx. The engine pretty high tech with direct fuel injection and such. Overall I really like this car. I remember that the clutch was pretty stiff too, but Im sure you get used to this. The only thing I dont like about the car is that the stock turbo is pretty maxed out at high rpm's so the car has limited tuning potential at least with the stock turbo. Overall this car does not get the credit it deserves and would be a great car to own.
Q: Are Mazda 6's good in the snow?
I bought a 2007 Mazda 6 in April. I was wondering if it's good in the snow? My tires have good tread but i was wondering how it handles in the snow? It's starting to snow here in Jersey and I want to know what I can expect on the road.
A: You should be fine in normal winter conditions. If you have more than a couple inches on the road, you might have traction problems, but you should be fine. If you're concerned (or you decide your current tires are insufficient) a decent set of snow tires will help. Don't bother with chains...that's just silly for New Jersey.
Q: Mazda 6 question about rpm?
I barely got my 2007 Mazda 6 like a month ago and it's an Auto transmission with the Auto-shift feature. Well I was using the Auto-shift feature and i forgot to up shift to 5th gear/last gear, so I was at 4th gear and I was going around 70 mph and the rpm was at 4,000 and the max rpm it reads is 8,000. I forgot to shift so that's why the rpm was at 4,000 when it should usually be at 3,000 and I drove at around 4,000 for approximately 15 minutes. It's been a month since I did this and I was wondering if I have did any damage or if it's alright. Since then my car has showed no problems and is running good. So was going over 1,000 rpm really bad if so what damage could've occurred.
A: NO problem at all
the red line shows where the engine can spin safely, if you drive over the red line that could give you some damage
Q: I have a Mazda 6 and I was wondering if this is normal.?
Okay I have a 2007 mazda 6 with around 31000 miles on it and I never had a problem with it. Sometimes when I drive, lets say I'm going around 15-35 mph and when i start slowing down or take my foot of the gas my rpm goes up about 300-500 rpm and I'm just wondering if this is normal or is it a problem. I always thought that it could be down shifting or I don't really know much about this so can you tell me WHY it does it and IF it's normal or not.
A: that's absolutely normal
the gear shifting on the trans make the revs go up depending on the millage
Q: Mazda 6 2006, or Civic LX 2007 for 1K less? Which would you buy?
If you had the budget.. I know that one is a mid-size, and the other is a compact, and I've test-driven both, but want to hear advice based on experience with the two cars. Thanks,
A: That's a tough question. The Mazda6 vehicles haven't fared as well as other Mazdas according to Consumer Reports (I had a Mazda3 for 2 years and it ran problem free and Consumer Reports gave it high marks), mainly because more of it is based off Ford vehicles and components.
Also, Honda makes all their safety features standard and it's still very difficult to get ABS and side airbags in a Mazda6 without spending a lot of money (the Mazda6 doesn't even have rear headrests which to me is a major safety and comfort issue).
The Civic is catching up in size to the mid-size cars but is still notably smaller, especially in the cargo area. My question to you is what kind of driving will you be doing (frequent trips with cargo and/or passengers, commuting)?
Better yet look for a 2005 or 2006 Honda Accord with low mileage. The price should be similar unless you're looking at a loaded vehicle.
Q: Will Mazda still produce the Mazdaspeed 6 in 2007?
The 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 has a few bugs in it. I would like to get an 07, if available.
A: Yes!
Q: 2007 mazda and p205/50 r17 tires?
I have an 07 mazda 6 and found some tires that are the above. I have 215/50 r17 right now. Is there a big diff in 205 to 215? the 205s are from a mazda 3.
Good year Eagle
A: The way to read the tire size code is (section width in millimeters/aspect (profile) ratio as a percentage/rim size)
Section Width is NOT tread width. Section width is the widest part of the tire, which is always somewhere along the sidewall.
Aspect ratio is the sidewall height stated as a percentage of the section width. In the case of the poster here, 50%.
So the differences between the tires is: 215/50/R17 has a sidewall height of 107.5 mm where the 205's only have a sidewall height of 102.5 mm, a difference of 5 mm or about 1/5 inch. Add this twice to the rim size (for the tire being wrapped around both sides of the rim) and you still have less than 1/2 inch difference between the tires.
The 205's are a slightly smaller height tire with a slightly smaller rolling diameter. This will effect your speedo/odo a small amount. Your speed will show slightly higher and your odometer will add miles slightly quicker, but not to any big degree. I'm too lazy to calculate the exact amount...
Q: How do I wire neon lights to my parking lights?
I have a 2007 Mazda 6 and i have four neon (they're actually L.E.D.) light bars that I want to turn on (and stay on) when I turn on my head lights (or parking lights). The light bars are 12v (no cigarette lighter attachment). Can someone please tell me what I have to run the wires to. Thanks!
A: Get a voltmeter and find the hot side of your parking light wires and hook your LED hot to it. Run the cold to a good ground anywhere. When you do this remember not to hook more than two to a side. Hope this helps.
Q: I got some questions about my Mazda 6. And it would be great if they were answered.?
Okay I have a 2007 mazda 6i automatic transmission with around 30,800 miles. First question, should I go to the Mazda dealer to change my transmission oil or is there a better place that you recommend that I should go to? but the thing is that if I go to any type of place to change my transmission oil I have a feeling they might put the wrong transmission fluid in. And what is the right type of fluid anyways? Second question, and this may sound stupid but what's the appropriate name for my spark plugs I heard someone tell me they were coil overs not spark plugs??? So I'm confuse, what to tell the dealer. Third and question, well when my a/c is on sometimes I could smell some sort of burnt rubber going through the vents but not so sure what it is. I have had my car for 2 months and I think i have smelled it twice. I could smell for about only 5 seconds then it disappears but, any clue what it could be? Can it be really bad? and Finally question sorry for all the questions lol, I am just wondering were the heck are my vacuum lines are?
Forgot to mention that it's a four cylinder
A: goto a mazda dealer and let them handle it all. i dont think you need a trans oil change. only 30,000 miles. and one thing i will insist on :
NEVER ,EVER,GET A TRANSMISSION FLUSH.FROM ANYONE,EVER. Just get the pan dropped,,the filter changed. If they want to bleed out all the fluid they can open he front lines to the radiator and let it drip out..
So if they then come back and try to tell you some other bull shit---Just go somewhere else
