Q: Is E10 fuel suitable for a 2008 Mazda 6 wagon?
It says on the inside of the fuel lid that E10 is suitable but I wonder what others think about E10

A: All gasoline-powered vehicles sold in the U.S. are designed to work with E10. That's because virtually every one of the major U.S. cities have local laws on the books which requires all gasoline stations in their jurisdictions to sell E10 only, in order to cut down on smog emissions. No carmaker would sell a gasoline-powered car in the U.S. that does not work on E10. For people who live in or near big cities, E10 is practically the only gasoline blend available at the pump.

Q: 2008 mazda 6 headlights, there are 4 lights, on each side, what do they do?
the outer light is the low beam, the second is the turn signal, the light closest inside is the high beam. what does the light next to the high beam do? I need information on the headlights, not how to have you do my taxes.....

A: It's not a bulb. It's there just for looks if you have a USA model. On the European version it's a fog light.

Q: What can you tell me about a 2008 Mazda 6?

A: It does not have a rotary engine like the first guy said. Only the Mazda RX7, RX8, RX3, RX2, have rotary engines. The 2008 Mazda 6 is a reliable, fun to drive sports family sedan. It is not as comfortable as the Honda Accord and Toyota, but it handles much better and is more fun to drive. They are reliable cars. Honda and Toyota are best. But Mazda is still good. They are a little expensive to maintain for Japanese cars, but they are low maintenance cars.

Q: 2008 Mazda 6 good or bad?
Please help I just bought a 08 mazda 6 , and i thought i liked it but now i'm not so sure. how are they in the snow? good on gas? anything you can tell me abouot then would be great. I know nothing

A: Mandy, I don't know if I can re-assure you to alleviate your buyers remorse, for what it is worth the 2008 Mazda 6 car is one of the better built cars one could ever hope for. The car is good on the open road, in the snow and gas efficient day in day out. Their is a high probability that you own a 10 year 250,000 mile car before major repairs are required. If you maintain the factory routines for service the car will last you far beyond the final payments. To learn more about your car go to Edmunds.com

Q: Mazda 6 TS2 2.0D 2008?
I'm about to get one of these.. what so you think?

A: The 2.0D refers to a diesel right? If so, I envy you. I love the U.S. versions of the 6, but the only 2 engines are gas and they are not as impressive as one would think. It was said that they would bring a diesel version of that car to the U.S. but that's a long time from now. Get the car, have fun, & g'luck.

Q: i am thinking of getting a 2008 mazdaspeed 3?
or a 2008 mazda 6 mazda. please write your experiences with either one, pros and cons.

A: mazdaspeed3 is much better vehicle. (make sure you get side curtain air bags) the 6 has a poor engine, supplied by Ford. it's due a redesign for 09 maybe it will get better.

Q: When is 2008 Mazda Atenza coming out?
If you're a fan of Mazda 6, then you know what I'm talking about. Mazda Atenza is a modded Mazda 6 with power and better look. If you've never seen it, here's a nice pic: http://www.autospies.com/images/users/speedspies/Mazda-Atenza-DAMD-1%5B1%5D.jpg Please, if you know, tell me when it's coming out?..I'd love to get one. I just like the look =P

A: unless it has awd, rwd, or a trick differential, i could care less. this new one was retarded, 270 bhp with front wheel drive? without a trick differential like that of a focus rs, it's useless. EDIT: you can't buy cars based on looks. more often than not, good looking cars are horrible and ugly cars are good. the entire bmw range looks like they were designed by ray charles, but to drive they are better than any other car on the road short of a ferrari. also, look at the nissan gtr. it looks like a discordant mess, but to drive there is virtually nothing that can beat it. now, look at the good looking cars. alfa romeo 8c compitizione is widely agreed to be one of the nicest looking cars ever made, but i heard it's terrible to drive. as jeremy clarkson put it "here's some sacrilege, it feels like a mustang! (i guess you don't know much about cars, but a mustang is a pretty bad car)" also, look at the cadillac xlr. it is easily the best looking american car, but the interior is horrible, and it drives like a boat. the mazda won't be a good car because it's engineered by america for america. asia and europe got a better one, one without too much power going to the front wheels. the previous one only had 220, and i own one. it's enough, any more than that and it needs awd. which is why they gave the mazdaspeed 6 awd. 270 to the front is too much. most experts agree that any more than 220 (some say 250) is too much for the front wheels. sorry to rant, but i just wanted you to understand why you can't buy cars based on looks alone.

Q: Mistubishi Lancer 08 OR Mazda 6 ?????
I am looking to buy either Mazda 6 (TS 2.0D) Or Mistubishi Lancer 2008 (2.0 Diesel). I am really confused as which one to buy. They both have different qualities. But need help!!!!

A: Go for the Mazda 6! My best friend has one and I've driven it a million times. It's got good driving dynamics. It's interior appointments are very well thought of. Interior is better and bigger obviously.

Q: 2008 Mazda 3. Realistic selling price??
I am seriously looking into buying a new 2008 Mazda 3. I want the I touring value model with a sunroof/6 cd changer. The price online is in the $19k range. However, I do know that they are going to come out with a redesign in 2009 and I was wondering if that will have an effect on the selling price. How much do you think I can talk a dealer down on this car? I will be a first time car buyer and am planning on putting about 5k down on this car.

A: Figure at least a $2000 drop when the 09 hits the showrooms. I'd wait for the 09 models to come in, and they'll do whatever it takes to sell leftover 08s, in order to make room for the newer ones.

Q: Which is better for safety reasons?
A 2008 Mazda Cx-7 or a 2008 Mazda 6 4 door hatch?

A: I'd bet the CX-7 is superior since it it a very recent design. The Mazda 6 is a nice car but that chassis is several years old now.

Q: What is a good price for a new 2007 Mazda6 ?
I'm thinking about buying a Mazda6, and I'd like to know what other people are paying for the same trim. I want the S (V-6) Touring version with automatic transmission. I know that Mazda is redoing the Mazda 6 for 2008, so I was wondering if that would affect the price on the 2007? This is my first car to buy myself, so I'd really appreciate any help!!

A: I bought my 2006 6i, my first brand new car, when they were having big rebates in Sep '06... $2500 off! I got a little more than $3000 off sticker then. BTW, the redo of the 6 isn't due til late 2008 and will be larger than the current version. The more you wait, the bigger the discounts get.

Q: Is the 2008 Mazda Rx-8 worth buying?
I got a deal for 19,000 dollars with 11,000 miles on it. I can afford it but im wondering if it is a reliable and good car for 5-6 years. How does it do in the winter? I live in VA. Gas? Reliable? Insurance? Used 2008 honda accord coupes are so expensive and camrys are expensive too.

A: The reliability of this car will mainly be up to you. The basic components have had no real issues reported other than the motor. And the main reason people have motor issues is they do not know how to take care of a Wankel Rotary engine properly. If you learn this engines maintenance needs then you will very likely have a reliable car. Learn everything you need to know at: http://www.rx8club.com As for the other items mentioned: 1) Gas mileage is mediocre. But that's expected in a sports car. Expect real world mileage of around 17 mpg (US gallons) 2) Insurance: It's usually lower than some of its competitors (say a 350Z) because it's a 4-door (sort of...) and has a small motor (sort of...) but the rate is of course based on location, age, driving record, etc.

Q: 2008 Mazda 3 GT?
When I priced the vehicle with the moonroof - 6Cd package on edmunds, it stated that what people are paying for it is $22,613. The invoice is $21,565. Do you think that it is possible for me negotiate off the invoice price by at least $1000-1500 if I wait until July 4 to purchase it. I plan to put $10,000 down. Will my interest rate be high? I only have 6 months of credit history and only 18 years old.

A: If you think you will get the car for 1000-1500 under invoice, its not going to happen. They MIGHT sell it for invoice, but probably not. When they sell a Mazda 3 at invoice the dealership makes about 400.00 on a GT model 3. You will probably need a co signer.

A: My mom got hers for $27,000. It came with 17inch rims, low profile tires, navigation, and a 6 disc cd changer, seat warmers, radio and cd controls on steering wheel, heated rear view mirrors, tilt and slide moon roof, and 6 speed automatic with sport shift. I thought it was a little pricey but its a very very nice car. People mistaken it for a BMW and it drives like one. Its got some balls. You'll love it.
